NURK started in Austin, Texas as a solo side project of . Since re-locating to Spain, NURK has joined forces with other musicians from the USA, Spain, France, and Australia, including Tommy DeWolfe from . 
 NURK’s style has been described as witty and dreamy, with songs moving easily between sexually-explicit rock and dark, romantic ballads. 
 After some lo-fi recordings and underground shows around Europe, NURK released the independent pop album ‘Easy Installations’ in 2012. The surrealist rocker ‘Season One’ followed in 2018. Starting in 2020, a string of diverse singles have been released from recordings made in Warsaw (Poland), Austin, and Madrid. 
 The last single, , came out September 2022 was featured in online zines worldwide and on multiple playlists . Before that was , with four songs including a soulful collaboration with singer . A neo-dadaist video for the first track, “God Is a Song”, was made by Hamburg artist baroninvonsenden.
